Here is some older news, hopefully you will still find it interesting....
BBC Radio 4 Cover a Meeting!
At the regular meeting on the 16th December 1999 we appeared on the BBC Radio 4programme "Moneybox" as part of an article on the rise of tech-stocks. Marcia Hughes, the producer, came down and 'eavesdropped' on a whole meeting and interviewing various members for the programme which went out on the following Saturday lunchtime.
On the 8th January, after a dip in the technology sector the programme held a live phone in interview with the Secretary to ask if we were 'nervous' about the investments we made in December. Happily there was a recovery just before the programme so the Secretary was able to report that our sleep pattern had not been disturbed at all!
Visit by a Representative of the LSE
For the November regular meeting (the 18th November) we were asked if we could spend some time with Chris Lees (from Markets Development) for the London Stock Exchange. He was carrying out some research for the LSE on what information should be made available to private investors on the LSE web-site and wanted to talk to us to find out our views. Well, that was a mistake Chris... wasn't it?

He spent ages answering questions from il Professori and others about the intricate workings of the market, before he got anywhere near getting his questions answered. Still we hope he went away happy in the end....
