We are all proud of Mark. It was his original idea to start the club (H&G) back in 1994 and it was one of the best he had. He started the Monkeys in May 1997 and went on to STIC in September 1998 and the Dirty Harry Investment Club in 1999.
He is a great believer in Investment Clubs and is keen to develop a family concept. Why be a member of only one club? Why not be in several? Each club can have it's own rules, targets, investment techniques etc.
He has become quite famous in the world of Investment Clubs and has made many appearances on TV, Radio and the newspapers. He even wrote a book about the subject (see below).
His advice to would be Investment Clubbers is
- Buy the Fools Guide to Investment Clubs (£5.99 in all good bookshops plus some dodgy ones as well)
- Read said book
- Purchase 5 copies of book to send to friends and relatives
- Join ProShare
- Get the recommended software, COW2000, for the Treasurer (ProShare members get a discount!)
- Don't be too serious - after all it's only money! And not a great deal of money either!
- Have loads of fun and beer!
